If there a way with the K2 tag cloud to restrict it to articles in a given category?

 

Ive been trying work out how - but Im probably missing something.

Well it seems the level of support and help provided here is just as shit as it was to start with.

Roll on Joomla 1.6 so I can roll off K2.

Yes, it would be possible, with a modification to the K2 tag module.

Well in fairness I posted the original question on the 8th of Feb and nobody at all responded. Ive stated before that K2 is a superb product, but even the best product in the world is useless if the support isn't there to give people the confidence to use it.

Can you give me any assistance in how I might do this please?

Hi Chris,

I will add it to the ever growing list at k2Joom, but I at the moment I am trying to resolve some bugs ahead of all other feature requests.

I would start off looking at the K2 Content module as that already has the code in it that you need in terms of retrieving data and allowing you to select categoris from within the new module.
You would need to copy code from the K2 Content xml and most likely the files in tmpl folder.
The xml is containing the information on what is displayed within the module.

Once I get my hands on the code, it will be a little easier, as there are snippets of common code being used.
