Full view inherits modules from category was created by Alistair Kent
I want to have modules showing in my category/bog view, but not on the 'full view' that appears when you click on the 'read more' link.Anyone know how to do this?Note: in particular I'm trying to sort this on my home page at www.echampions.co.uk

Change on wich menu items you have published your modules. Joomla config. Nothing related to K2

I'm not quite sure what you mean here!

If I used a standard Joomla blog on my home page and clicked on one of the articles to 'read more' it would open up in a new page (with no modules around it).

But when I use K2 as my home page blog it opens up in the smae page (with all the modules on).

Surely that's a bug? Or am I doing something glaringly wrong?

Well, Which modules would you like to hide on item view??? Have you checked on the module params to only show on certain menu items???

i hope you understand what i am saying

Yes I understand.

I have a set of modules which I have showing on my homepage (the only page they show on, such as 'Next Event Countdown'). My blog is on the homepage. When I click read more on any of the blog items, the 'full text' page shows all the modules I have set to show on the homepage.

The only modules I want showing on the 'full text' pages is the modules I have set to 'all pages'.

Regards

If i am not wrong, you are having those troubles, because there is not item id for those articles. So as soon as you click on any item to read full view, its parsed the item id of the home page, an therefore, shows all modules published at the home page.
This is a Joomla related issue, and as i said before ,nothing related with K2.

A trick, create some category menu item for those articles(under a new menu not published) and adjust again your modules params. I guess it will resolve your troubles...

The solution had no change. Nor did I expect it to work. Or perhaps your method is vague and I did it wrong. Category menu item for those articles? Perhaps you can clarify what you mean. A new menu item for K2 categories? Or do you mean a menu item one for each article itself?
