I would love to see this system in the K2 comments!  Any plans for the next release?

I would like to second this. They are both JoomlaWorks products (not Disqus, but the Disqus plugin), so it should be the easiest integration imaginable...

I had previously read that this was coming in 2.2, but I guess it got removed from the changes. Any word on expected delivery for this feature? The current commenting system isn't bad, but it's not great either.

Also, is it even possible that JoomlaWorks might autofill the Disqus fields for Name, email, etc. for Joomla Users (or Comm builder, JomSocial, even K2 users) using some kind of Javascript magic? I imagine there could be a script that waits for the Disqus comments to load, and then finds the fields and fills them in...

There have been several requests for this, both within these forums and elsewhere on the net.

This is on my list To Do.

The problem with current commenting is that even if you are a registered user and logged in, you still have recapthca, if it is set up at all.
The Disqus route is good for its universal log in type, similar to Wordpress in a way.
