Can't create new category

i have the same problem it is exact the same .
but a little bet different that K2 is working very smoothly in my

localhost machine
i am using wamp server with [ php2.5.6 - mysql5.0.51a - apache 2.2.8 ]

but it is not working on my
hosting server which is using [ Linux CentOS 5 - php2.5.10 - apache]
so please help

Allah Akbr

i have found it ;;;;

the solution
is to enable php extension called mbstring ;
it is in php.ini

Hi,

I have the same problem and the solution is clearly to activate mbstring() in php.ini

However, my hosting provider (vebnest.com) refuses to activate this feature for my account (reason given is that hey know what is good for them.)

I there another work around?

Hi my friend I have same problem and I use Kloxo for my vps,
Could u plz help me how to do this (enable php extension called mbstring) !?

How to do this .. ( I mean I didnt come from jungle but my knowledge in PHP is not more than TARZAN !)

No you don't need any knowledge, just you need to run this command on VPS (Command Center), or you can connect via ssh

Thank you so MUCH my friend for your answer, but this massage appears :"package php-mbstring is not installed" .
What shall I do!

you can try this

yum install php-mbstring

if it's not help you can check forum.lxcenter.org
