sunholidaytours.com (Travel agency) was created by Manny Santos
Finally went live for the client. Used Morph' Vanilla themelet and K2 for all trip
contents and k2 content module inside tabs for region trips listings. Please check it out and offer suggestions/comments. All would
be appreciated.
Work is still in progress as the client updates and add new trips etc....
Site: Welcome to Sun Holiday Tours It was a conversion from an old existing site to this new one.
thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions.

Looks great. I especially liked the phased in/out text below Information & Reservations in the banner and the slideshow. Did you use any specific tools for these?

The issue I found is with your drop down menus for SOUTH AMERICA and FREE BROCHURE, the texts were overlapping. Otherwise looks great to me.

Great work!! I really like it.

Please can you share how the tabs work for (Escorted, Extended and Independent) pages? I have been looking for a similar solution.

Many Thanks

Please can you let me know what module/plug-in you've used for the tabs.

Many Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. I have been sick.

Anyways, here is a quick overview of how I setup the site.
for the menu item to the regions, I use a component called 2JTabs. When you create a new menu item, you can choose it as the component. In the settings, You can set it to load module positions which I created k2 content modules for each category such as spain_escorted, spain_extended etc. The module positions for each k2 content module are named the same such as spain_escorted, spain extended etc.... to keep things consistent. The final result is a tabbed area with k2 content module in each of the tabs.

For the trip details page, it is broken down in 2 parts.
K2 has the main stuff such as
image,
extrafiels for price, includes etc...,
a description which is used on the homepage of each trip in the k2 content modules such as "Extended Vacation Bargains" and "Great Travel Values"
and the full text area which contains the plugins to generate tabs and put contents in them.

All other info such as rates, itinerary, inclusion and hotels is coming from com_content for now until one of the plugins I am using gets updated for K2

In the full text editor of k2, I am using 3 plugins.

1. Jinclude: which generates the booknow button and passes the trip name parameter to Breezing forms so that it is included in the submission to tell which trip was booked.

2. 2jtabs: which creates the tabs for Hotel, inclusion, iteneary, and rates.

3. include_content_item: this picks up regular com_content articles by ID and places them in each tab. I am using it this way instead of everything coming from K2 because this plugin does not yet recognize k2 article ID. I hope that gets updated soon and then everything will be in K2.

To finish things off, I created templates of the code using content templater and added buttons at the bottom to generate all of this and all you have to do is change the ID for the corresponding rate, inclusion, rates, etc... from com_content.

I have attached a screenshot trying to explain it. I hope this helps.
