Some adjustments in template was created by Horst Lauber
Hey there,i am trying to adjust a few things my k2 blog. I tried a lot in the configuration but i haven't been able to solve it as well as I didn't found the right file on my server for some adjustments. So here are the things:1. I would like to place the date under the title of the blog article in all cases which means on the blog start page as well as in the categorie view.2. i would like to have one more <br /> between the "continue" - link and the new article.3. the most important thing is, that i would like to have, that not he whole text is shown on the start-page of the blog. my blog is configured as an user blog. so when i go onto this menuitem i would like to find all blog articles but the articles shouldn't been seen in it's whole. so after 50 words or so there should be some "..." and if you then click onto the "continue" button you will be forwarded to the whole article. i tried a lot but i didn't find out how to do this. i hope somebody can help me with my issues! kind regards and thanks.

Hi Horst.

1. Which date do you need, create or modified?
These elements can be taken from either the item.php and placed into the category and category_view.php

2. Dont use !! Instead, you should add bottom padding in the k2.css file

3. For introtext, you can set this in the category that the item is set in. Check the category item view parameters in the right menu.

Not sure what your skill level, so take a look, have a try and then come back with more questions.
Additionally, take a look at the K2 documents at K2Joom.com as there are explanations for all the category parameters etc.

Speak soon

to 1.
I would like to have the created date under the topic of the article. at the moment it is 2 line above the article what isn't that good for me.

point 3. is solved. i adjusted the k2.css with the help of some friends...

but i have some other issues.
I made a screenshot and edited it so the second picture is how it should look like for me.
hopefully it is possible.

this is how it looks like at the moment:

this is how it should look like (date is under the topic, continue-link is behind the intro text and not under the whole thing):

Is it possible to edit in one php file to change the order of these things? i don't know but i hope so. this would be very nice. but i don't know which file if it is possible. or can someone help me?

Go to \components\com_k2\templates\user.php

If I'm right the code on row 113 starts with ....userItemDateCreated.....
and ends on row 118 with ....php endif;...

Now take this part of code (from row 113 - 118) and paste it before the ( )< on row 140

yes it worked. but now the font-size is as big as the text and black. is it possible to retain the grey color and the smaler size?

what about the "continue"-link? does there also exist a solution?

kind regards and thank you very much

You can change this in: \components\com_k2\css\k2.css

somewhere near row 490 or search for "div.userItemHeader h3.userItemTitle"

div.userItemHeader h3.userItemTitle {font-family:Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;font-size:24px;font-weight:normal;line-height:110%;padding:10px 0 4px 0;margin:0;}

Change the 4px into 0px
