I have tried over and over to change the order of the items (articles) to display on a page.  I have renumbered them and saved.  And nothing worked.  Please help!

You need to change the order in the Category that contains the articles. Look under the Parameters on the right hand side under "Other layout options". The "Item ordering" field will do it for you. Each Category can be ordered differently if need be. Hope this helps.

Nope, I worked with Simon one night this week and he confirmed there is an issue in K2 2.3 and has logged it with Joomlaworks. Let's hope for a quick fix.

Same here with v 2.3, nonetheless I haven't been able to check if problems persists with v 2.4.1 since this problem happens all of a sudden without warning when you are stuck with thousands of contents already published.

I guess we are on our own.
