Ok so I just started using K2 on TipsForJoomla.com. I disabled the comments, but on the front page it still says "Be the first to comment." Also can I get rid of the thing at the end of the articles thats says the authors name and has their picture. I would also like to remove the "Latest from [Author]" thing.Also are there any modules like the popular and latest articles modules that come with Joomla?

Does anyone have an answer on this one? I have disabled comments on certain categories but the "Be the first to comment!" still shows up when you view the item. Is the only way to defeat this with a template over-ride?

Are you using a k2 module for your front page display of items?
If so check that modules parameters for comments.
