I'm using K2 v2.2 with Joomla 1.5. I've setup a user group to allow submissions/entries. I've setup the user to be added to the submission user group on signup in the parameters panel. For some reason however the user isn't added to the user k2 submission user group. I've set this up successfully on a dev environment but the production environment just won't add the user to the k2 group.Does anyone have any idea of what may be causing this problem?Thanks in advance.

Do you have the K2 Login module enabled? or the Joomla one?

Yes. I also changed the title to make sure the login form was displaying the K2 Login module. The only difference with the production vs development environments is the prodution version is still running Joomla 1.5.13, although I wouldn't expect that to be part of the problem.

double check you have enabled all the plugins installed by k2 to your system, in plugins manager joomla backend
