Dear Members,Glad to be here and i welcome myself LOL. so here is my question?i have installed the latest version of K2, using joomla 1.5.15 and i am unable to upload any profile image via front as user or back as admin.i have seached the forum here and only seen a message about this being resolved in the latest version.please help me if anybody has a solution.thank you in advance

What happens when you try to upload an image? Do you get an error? A white screen? Does it tell you that you were successful, but not show the image? Is there no button to even add an image?

Share some more details.

the top menu you will see BLOG.
i have tried to add an blog entry and also add an image to this, with no luck.

when saving the image it states : your settings have been saved ( but no image is there)

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to upload images and no luck.

so,i've tried ftp'ing the file by simply naming my new image with the existing file name,

ie: new image name is screen_3.jpg
old image name is screen_3_old.jpg

when i reload the media/image area, the old image appears [the one i want to override] with the image name screen_3.jpg

it's odd that i can't override the file.

any thoughts?

is you folder permission set to 777. this might be the reason why you can not over ride the original. check it!

Does the image upload work when you try to upload a very small image? If so, try increasing your max_upload and memory_limit in your php.ini.

In addition, if you can not access your php.ini, you will need to speak to your host company.
Depending on your host, typically shared hosts, they may already set a max upload restriction.

If in doubt, ask your web host.

Dear Reader,

LOL. i run my own VPS with :

Storage 75GB
Bandwidth 450GB
Burstable RAM 2GB
Burstable CPU 1 Ghz

no image upload restriction, even a 4kb image will not upload, funny enough my SSP (slide show Pro) from joomlaworks also does not work any longer and the forum for that was also overfull with comment but no reaction from moderators other then contact your host :(

i am my own host and still this does not work. reading that it was a release issue, but yet no luck!

This is an intersting issue, along with a few other upload/zip/image type issues where the majority have no problems, but then some it is just impossible to fix.

I have yet to have found a 100% solution, but hope we can make progress soon.
