Category and sub category layout was created by datshay
I have category arranged as follows
main category 1
-sub category 1
-sub category 2
--sub sub category 1
--sub sub category 2
main category 2
-sub category 1
-sub category 2
--sub sub category 1
--sub sub category 2
By default, it shows all the sub categories. I just want to display the main categories only at first and then when i click on any of the one main category, then to display the sub categories of it just level one up, not the inner sub category...
Any idea avout it... Searched it a lot but couldnt find the righ tsolution.....

In your main category parameters, you will need set the sub categories block to disable.
In the right menu, Category View Options, then Sub Category Handling, then set Sub-category blocks to Hide.
This will prevent the sub categories for being displayed within that category.
Repeat for all other main categories, or use the Inherit from Category function.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply...
But i am not talking about hiding the sub menu content area... In mod_k2_tools i just select the Select module functionality to category list(menu). And with that menu, it displays all the menus including all sub categories.... I dont want the sub categories to be displayed unless i enter that category in this module........
Will that possible or do i have to go for stuffs of code along manually.....?????

Sorry, but in the original question, there was no mention that you were using mod_k2_tools, hence why you received information on configuring the K2 categories. There was no mention of hiding sub menus though.
To do what you want, you need to set Levels to render to 1 instead of leaving it blank.
If left empty, it will display all category levels, sub, sub/sub etc.
Hope that helps.

That only displays the main level category.
When i click on that category, it doesnt displays its sub category. i just want like that of
joomla's default main menu...
