YES! We are also looking for a favorite item feature. There already is a module for regular Joomla content.

Did anybody already hear of a k2 favorite plugin?

Whilst the above seems perfect, what it doesn't explain is how to then Display the favorites? Anyone had any luck with this?

Core Design My Favorite Pages module can be a good solution if it's okay if the users can list only his/her own favorite items:

This extension doesn't insert a new parameter to K2 items, so only the user knows if he/she marked an item as favorite or not. A global list of the favoured items or the Most Favoured items still can not be made, and there will be no sign of favorization like the Featured mark.

 

So still could be good to have a built-in favorites system in K2!
