How turn on the joomla content plugins to K2 categories descriptions?

Joomla content plugins work on K2 items, but not on categories.

I have some pictures and resized, on frontend MavikThumb plugin create thumbs ant create links to large images, but that not working on K2 categories, just on K2 items.

If you place
{gallery}fruit{/gallery}
into the category description and create a category menu item. it will work. Test other plugins to see how they act.

I places the mavikthumnails and not work picture resizing. May the problem are in mavikthumbs plugin?
