Newbie Question was created by Ryan Fischer
I am trying to accomplish something that I thought would be simple with
Joomla, but have hit a roadblock everywhere I have looked. Perhaps K2
will be able to provide this for me.Here is what I am looking
for--On the front page of my site, I want to have an input box
that is displayed and usable by anybody (public included). Just a single
input box, which would probably be a title. Beyond that I want nothing
else, no body, no extra field, just a box and a submit button and the
text in that box being all that is placed into the newly created item. When
somebody submits something into that box, it would create a new article
(or I guess in K2, a new item).Simple as that, but is it? If it
is with K2, would somebody be able to possibly kick start me in the
right direction?Thanks so much.

Not sure what your going to do with the k2 items when they are submitted?
With custom programming you could use html form code in your Joomla article, create a csv from the imput, and use something like the csv import tool to get the item into K2 item.
Depending on how you are going to use the result there may be a better way, K2 has front end editing avaliable that will allow users to add items.
