Editing microtheme css sheets was created by Andrew Neighbour
Hi everyone...I'm pretty new to Joomla and to K2.  I want to develop a site for a local company that provides services to local authors.  They have a catalog of books written by their author clients.  The catalog appears ideal for K2 and an I have figured out the installation and set up that will give me the flexibility I need for filtering, searching and viewing catalog entries; and for managing the front end data entry by registered users.I have also a custom designed template I created with Artisteer for the site, and am fairly comfortable with creating microthemes for the K2 component and have followed the documentation here on K2 templates.Where I am having the problem is in editing the CSS to control layout of the fields for each catalog entry.  I've looked at the CSS file but can't figure out where to start to change field label and field data alignments and generally to realign the layout of the page.I have enough knowledge to make the changes once I get there, but am a little mystified as to how to figure out which code refers to which entry in the CSS and specifically where to rearrange it.  I have used Firebug to identify the relevant code in the CSS relating to the data in the blog layout, but can't figure out where the overall blog layout itself is controlled. My question...is there a simple step by step guide with for example a simple example of a catalog of products that would serve to provide a starting place to point me in the right direction?Any suggestions as to where to find useful guides/documentation would be much appreciated. Many thanks,Andrew

No urls for you but for microtheme / sub templating of categories I often get the design look first , then create this in xhtml/css and cross browser check, then create a K2 category and relevant css.....

I guess my question has less to do with process or where to place the template, and more to how and where to edit the css sheet that defines the reporting out and layout of data in the catalog blog page.

The default presents the date in a continuous list of extra fields with field name and data thus:

Synopsis: lkjhkjadkh kajs kjh dkjhdas kjh dkjhaskjhd ksjhd akjhd kjshd kajkjh kdjak dkajdkjashd kajhd kajhdkjhkjahd kajshdk ajdkjhd akjhsd kjhkajshdkas
Reviews: kjakjhdkjhk jkhdkjh kjhd akkdjashdkjahsd

I might for example want to change this, add blank lines between fields, realign the columns, change colors and fonts.

My problem is knowing where to start! It's a simple catalog listing of information - all I need is a basic demo/tutorial of where to begin.

I'm also wondering if K2 Content Wall might be the solution - does anyone have experience with it?
