Hi folks - 
I needed to know the possibility of using K2 as a non-blog styled component. i.e. I would ideally like to hide the comments boxes, the ratings, the author avatar etc. In other words, simply would like to use it as a content manager like that of joomla's content manager. 

I have tried HIDING almost all the options under main k2 parameters, and then under category and items parameters but all these options still remain alive for some reasons. 

I am not sure if some cache is involved or what but on one of the menu items (where i first changed the parameters and then created items), the option seems to be hidden whereas, for the other menu item ( i created categories/items first and then later on changed the parameters), the options seem to remain intact. 

any ideas would be highly appreciated.

and apparently, hiding all the options under Item View Options > Author Options, it has hidden all comments boxes ....

hiding all of the items also allowed me to show only the content and no extra options.
