I've recently installed K2 everything appears to work fine, except when creating an item..the JCE editor does not appear in the content tab
i can add text but that is all..NO JCE editor

I've un-installed and re-installed same issue no JCE editor

At least you get an editor ;)

The problem is resolved

1. go to joomla global and select no editor

2. then go tpo user control panel and tehn select teh editor to be used for each member in my case admin (selected JCE)

this resolved the no editor issue...to bad the instruction to install K2 never stated this fact before making the upload of k2

done all that and still no text submission form appearing under the content tab or anything else under that set of tabs...

I experienced the same kind of issue using Joomla 1.5.23 ; K2  2.4.1 .

I come back on previous version of JCE until 1.5.9.  I don't know if there is a specific setup in the newest version of JCE to avoid this problem.

This was suggested to me from William White that also try with Tiny editor to avoid the issue.

Try installing JCE from the .zip version of the package instead of the .rar
