URGENT: Is K2 compatible with JA Purity II out of the box?

(NOT SO URGENT: Is K2 compatible with Afterburner out of the box?)

If so, why can I only get single article menu items showing up, not category menu items? I feel like I've tried everything! I even deleted all my articles and started again.

EDIT: The problem is with the menu type K2 » Latest / Latest
