Ok I have read through the sparse number of posts that I can find associated with this issue however none of them seem to address my problem in particular so here goes ( I pray that someone can help me otherwise I'll be losing a lot of hair trying to completely overhaul my site )I have been successfully using K2 for over a year and happily included pictures with no problems at all, today however I wanted to add a free download so made use of the RokDownloads component so as to be able to track the number of times it gets downloaded. However since installing this I have not been able to attach an image to an item / post, I am able to upload it using the lightbox uploader when clicking browse and have confirmed it is there via ftp.  I have had a look at the database to see if there is anything referencing the position and name of images in other articles but cannot see how K2 associates images with articles as there is nothing within the table 'jos_k2_items' or any of the assoicated tables for the K" component.  No matter what I do I cannot associate the pictures with articles and this is frustrating.ConfigJoomla version 1.5.18K2 version 2.2Simple Image Gallery version 1.2.1 I know that this or should I say, I hope that this is not associated with the installation of RokDownloads.Any assistance with this will be greatly appreciatedRegardsDave

First disable the component you installed and see what happens...
Galleries are stored here C:\xampp\htdocs\k2test\media\k2\galleries
Images are stored here http://localhost/k2test/media/k2/items/cache/e2bf3b11df0b872112757f1c2fee6e32_L.jpg
a converted filename with the _L meaning large.

Thanks William for your response but sadly this hasn't solved the issue. I have disabled all the non-joomla core plugins and turned them on 1 by 1 starting with K2, even this does not allow me to attach photos. Perhaps this calls for a reinstall of my site?

have you checked for errors when trying to add new items with an item image?
Turn error reporting to highest in global configuration and then add a new item with an image to a new category and see if there is an error when you try to save it.

Aplogies for the delayed response.

I have turned on the errors and I am not getting anything come up as an error, just a normal looking debug.

This is rather confusing. I have also uninstalled all the recently added extensions in hope that a 'roll-back' might work bbut nothing.
