Using K2 for poetry submissions on site was created by Bruce Whealton
I am wondering if this would be the tool to handle my need. I don't know if one one, of the things I have in mind, can be done or not.  I am thinking of  way for even unregistered users to submit poetry for consideration for publication.  We have a poetry magazine site that has grown and not only are we publishing more than the quarterly poetry magazine, but we are also trying to create a community site.  That's why we installed Community Builder.   Joomla, however, has no mechanism for unregistered users to submit articles.  I was thinking that it would save a step if many of our contributors used the Joomla article thing, as that is what we the editors/publisher do with each issue.Second, there might be more information that we could gather with each submission.  We don't want to overwhelm the user with so many different options to select when submitting poems.  So, I don't know if we can limit what the user has to enter, limit the category choices...  Is that possible? Is it possible to let unregistered users submit?Any way of setting up notification when a new item is submitted?thanks,Bruce

This will take care of the last question when its get finished testing.
You could use a Joomla form to take submissions in a text area from unregistarted users and capture their email address while screening for spam at the same time.
