Hello,is it possible to have extra fields for category. In category settings K2 don't have tab for extra fields. I must edit the core of K2. Can anyone give me some tips, guidelines...Mihail

Go to K2 - Categories - near the top- "associated Extra Fields Group"
Having first created an extra fields group and then extra fields belonging to that group, choose the group

maybe my explanation is not clear enough :/

I need to set fields for the category, not for the items in the category. From "associated Extra Fields Group" you can set default extra field group.

I want my structure to be like this:

Category name
Image | Category description

---

Category extra fileds

---

Item|Item|Item|Item|Item|
Item|Item|Item|Item|Item|

Extra fields belong to items, not categories.
Items belong to categories.
Which extra fields group the items in this category will use is a category parameter

It would probably be easier/faster just to put the information you want in the desc of the category and show it

I have used tables and and pasted the same table into each item description before in other systems. You have to enter the xtra fields each time anyhow.
www.honeapathfloral.com/hpf/index.php?option=com_digistore&controller=digistoreProducts&task=view&pid=1363&cid=13&Itemid=112 is an item view in Imoomla digistore, but would work the same in a category view in a k2 cagegory. Since users will not be creating categories, this would be faster/quicker....as long as those with rights to create categories know what to do(that i guess is wishfull thinking)

The only way is to create a plugin with fields and load the plugin in category view
