Hi there,

I am running into a very annoying bug: whenever a user creates an account, his name appears in the K2 user list without a K2 group (I see blank). So I manually need to enter the user (through the K2 list group), DO NOTHING aside form clicking 'save' and then it all works out.


Any idea how to fix this bug so the groups are assigned automatically?

Your setup seems correct. Maybe it has to do with your configuration. Please ensure that you have selected a K2 user group for the new users on the K2 parameters.

I have selected a K2 user group for the new users on the K2 parameters.

I tested with both email verification turned on and also off from local host and a live site. Both cases it put the new user in "registered" k2 user group which was selected in the k2 parameters. There must be a setting somewhere in joomla or k2 thats not quite correct. im using 1.5.20 and 2.3svn

Thank you all for trying to help me out. I finally figured out what the problem was: I used a registration form different than the standard Joomla registration form. After switching to the standard Joomla registration form everything seemed to be OK. Thank you again for your help. Tamirzzz
