I  have been updating my site with the k2 component and everything is working really well apart from the category view section. The category view displays fine though when i click through to an item there is no template surrounding it. The articles still appear but in text format, the page url also seems to be odd also.

Here is a link to that page on the site: www.nlplifechanges.com/nlp-life-changes-blog

any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Andy

Hello,

It looks like you found a resolution for this. What did you do?

Thanks,

Josh

Hi Josh,

I believe this is a problem with the urls, when you put search engine friendly urls on it screws up some of the catagory view (or so I have found). When I disabled SEF Urls the templates were working as they should do, so i would recommend installing another extension to do this.

I use JoomSEF and the problem was solved for me.

Hope that helps.

Andy

AH, thanks. That was my issue. All I knew was that it was something with the URL but I didn't think about that.

Thanks.

No Problem. It did take me a while to figure that out. Arasp are you using the standard joomla SEF Urls?

If this is the case, it is not going to work with K2 categories. I recommended JoomlaSEF or other extended Joomla SEF extensions. These extensions will have the updates that will allow k2 to work.

I found out that the problem occurs only in Rocket theme templates, it was ok with other templates.

So I decided to say goodbye to K2 and use the original article component of joomla.
