Creating a Joomla-type was created by Sunil Sinha
Pardon my ignorance but how do you create a Joomla-type Menu | Articles | Category List Layout in K2? Because every time I try Menu | K2 | Items Listing/Categories; the result is more akin to Joomla's Menu |Articles | Category Blog layout.

Am I missing something or K2 cannot do this? If not, any extension to do this?

Thanks.

Hmmm... too stupid a question to respond? Maybe this is the wrong forum. Anyone can guide me to a forum for really, absolutely K2 newbies?

Hi Sunil,

There's no stupid questions...

K2 just have a default blog template for categories items.

If you want a list view, you can do that :

- Follow K2 template overriding tutorial to create your own template for your category
- Affect this template to the related category
- Modify the category.php of your new K2 template to display category items as list

I know it must be difficult to start with K2 by doing such things but (for me), it's the better mean to learn how K2 works and how powerful it is.

Olivier

Thank you Olivier. I will certainly follow your advice and see what I come up with. This is a little too overwhelming for me but like you said; this is probably the best way to learn.

Thanks again,

Sunil
