I create some categories and sub categories.I found the category view not correct display the items count and sub category's items count.Look the pic below:

3624!=1408+1409+3623 and the real count of  right sub category (1409) is 1 (see pic 2)

 the real count is 2215,not 3623.Sorry for my poor English
