Hi -
K2 newbie here.

I'm using K2 with the Rocket Theme template Zephyr.

Everything looks good on the site, with a few minor issues.
The thing is that it doesn't seem like the categories and items are connected to the K2 Content module.

I can disable the module and the items still appear on the site.
I can not change the position of the items as they appear on the site by changing the module position.
I have an article posted to the Front Page.  When I turn "Display Mainbody" off in the template manager, the front page article will then not appear on the site, but the K2 items still appear.

Based on the position of other modules, the items seem to appear in the Mainbody position, or possibly the Content-Bottom position of the Zephyr template, which lies right under the Mainbody position.

I've tried setting up another K2 Content module.
That module acts normally and will move position, ect.
I would just change all of the other categories and items over to a new K2 Content module, however I don't know how to then delete the categories and items that are now appearing.

I've turned off or cleared any cache I know of.
I've tried different templates with the same results

I'm running:
 Joomla 1.5.2

PHP 5.2.14
Have K2 plugins System, User, and Search installed and enabled
Gantry 3.0.11
mod_k2_content 2.3

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

HI Don T,

Welcome to k2.
First off if you are running Joomla 1.5.2 I would suggest to update to the current version unless you meant Joomla 1.5.20.

You may want to look at how you are linking to the k2 content. If you link to a page that is setup as a k2 category page that page will display any articles ( "Items" in k2) as per the way you have the options set within that category itself, just like a joomla front page blog layout but cannot be turned off within the RT template manager.

You may want to try and create your menu buttons as "Front Page Blog Layout" if you want to only publish modules, without item display. Front page content will not even have to be turned off, just publish the module in the content top or content bottom positions. Then the item links within that or those modules will navigate to the item pages for display.

Cheers!
