I've heard a lot abot how K2 can be used for building nearly "everything you need" on Joomla!

Sounds great :-)

 

Before I spend  days figuring things out, I'd like to ask if the following is possible, using K2:

 

I need to create a membership card index for a scout group...Meaning, I need this:

 

All leaders must have at least read-access (prefer write)

Card index must include costum fields (group, branch, scoutname, picture, real name, parents, contact, birthdate, date of joining, badges + issue date, and lots more)

 

I need this index to appear in Joomla in content area, including options to search and filtering.

Can it be layed out "as I want", or is layout static (1 field per line)?

 

Note:

The solution Im looking for *must* be parrallel to ordinary user tables - not part of!

...

 

So - can this be done using K2?

Or do I need to go look for something else?

 

Please ask if Im not clear enough!
