I'm converting a HTML/PHP website to Joomla with K2.

I use K2 for the Extra Fields that can be added to content-items.

 

My question is : Is it advisable to use Joomla for all articles not needing extra fields and K2 only for the extra filed items. Or is it better to use K2 to do all the articles.

 

In the last case : How much risk do I have for the future, making me dependable from a component rather than rely on Joomla as a CMS.
