Is this also a question about Third-Party extensions?

Does anyone have a good idea how to create a duplicate Joomla/K2 website for testing? Maybe it's my dummy that contains some problems?
Anyway, these are the extensions used (besides K2):
- ChronoContact component and plugin
- JCE Contact component and plugin + JCE Mediabox Plugin
- JComments component, module and plugin
- Joomlaworks All Video plugin
- Joomlaworks Simple Image Gallery PRO plugin
- Show K2 module (add menu item in admin control panel)
- Custom Code Module
- Joomla Issuu Plugin
- Bigshot Google Analytics Plugin

1. Uploaded a total copy of all files the live Joomla/K2 website to the folder of my dummy
2. Changed the configuration.php file to the new variables
3. Imported a MySQL dump of the live site's db to a specific dummy database
4. Checked that the dummy worked (which it did)
5. I installed the K2 v 2.4.1 over the v 2.2 in the dummy
6. No website available!!!
I have no hacks in K2 core files. I have only added more templates to the folders modules/mod_k2_content and templates/html/com_k2.
Has anyone experienced any problems like this? I don't dare to upgrade the live site until I know what's wrong.

The backend of the dummy website works after upgrading K2, it's the frontend that fails.
I not quite sure what kind of information you need. If the attached files do not hold useful information for you, please advice on what more material you need.

Mats Arvendal said:I turned on error messaging in Joomla and the code appearing after the installation of K2 v 2.4.1 is attached in the file show-errors.txt. In the K2-controlpanel.txt you'll find the code generated when displaying K2 control panel after installation. I also attach the source code of the generated web page when returning to the dummy site URL after the installation: source.txt. Sorry for the Swedish sentences, but I hope you may find what you are looking for. The backend of the dummy website works after upgrading K2, it's the frontend that fails.

Now I have turned error reports to maximum. What URL:s do you want me to check? When I visit the frontend URL I still see a blank page.

Lefteris Kavadas said:Hi. You need to turn error reporting to maximum to see the error. This can be done under Joomla! global configuration. Also try disabling some modules and plugins in order to find where the conflict is. Thanks

Mats Arvendal said:A breakthrough! I started to disable some modules and voilá: the website showed up when I disabled all copies of mod_k2_content. When I turned them on one by one it was only one of the copies that created the problem. It doesn't matter if I use default or an own sub-template.
Does this give you a hint? I upgraded from v 2.2.

I tried as you suggested and changed the settings of this instance (copy) of the module. I also tried to create new copies of the module. This happened:
- It seems that the troubles occur when Select specific items is chosen AND there are one or more articles added (the website works if there's no article added although Select specific items is chosen).
- I also changed another (working) instance of the module from Retrieve items from categories to Select specific items and this instance (copy) continued to work even after some articles were added.
-When I create a new instance (copy) of the module with the setting Select specific items / article added the webpage fails. Removing the added article makes the page work again.
- When I changed the new instance from Select specific items to Retrieve items from categories the webpage fails.
OK. There you have some cases. Please let me know if you need more information.

There's no error message at the websites frontend, just a blank page.
As soon as I pick an article for the Select specific items feature, the webpage goes blank. When I remove the selected page it turns on again. Also, if I create a new instance of the module in question the webpage goes blank when I select any specific item.
These extensions are installed:

Chrono Contact
JCE
JComments
Modules:

User - JComments
Search - JComments
Editor Button - JComments OFF
Editor Button - JComments ON
K2 JComments Plugin
chronocontact
Content - Issuu
System - BIGSHOT Google Analytics
Simple Image Gallery PRO (by JoomlaWorks)
AllVideos (by JoomlaWorks)
I can provide you with login for this site, if that may help you.
