Category settings was created by Mike Taylor
Hi,

Is there a way to "copy" category settings and parameters from one
category to another aside from using the "Inherit parameter options from
category" option?

Am I correct in saying that if the "Inherit parameter options from
category" is removed from a category, by accident, it loses the desired
settings and reverts back to whatever it was before?

I would like to be able to set one category the way I want it then be
able to more "permanently" be able to copy those settings to other
categories. Is this possible.

TIA

Hi Mike,

You're right, if you've let default settings for a category that inherits from another and than remove inheritance, the category will have default options back.

for now, category parameters copying is not possible but it's a good idea.

Thank you.

I was able to get around this and kinda get what I wanted by renaming my "customized" category to something like "Default". Then moving other categories under it that I wanted to inherit it's settings.

A copy category function would be awesome!
