I have setup my K2 that all registered users can add articles which are then not published. If I go intot Joomla administration and just click on the publish icon it published fine. However if I open the item in the administration section and apply or save, it then changes the author to Administrator and does not allow me to change to the original users username. In fact no users come up. So really two problems:Firstly if an admin open a K2 item in admin section the creator or author should still stay the same, guess it is ok if it says last edited by admin or something like that.Second is why are the users not in the author drop down list.Joomla 1.5.21K2 v2.4.1

Try elevating the users who you want to make post above registered to author status and they will show up in the picklist!!! It seems by testing that the default behavior of the picklist of users when editing the item in the backend must be determined by the type of joomla user as well as the k2 user group he is assigned to.

Ok, that seems to work. Was hoping not to give randomers author access to make this work.
