I have another client who wants to make an iphone app using his homepage as the content source.Apparently accessing the DB directly with a webservice does not work for the iphone app as All content in an item is in the same column.Iphone apps want content (images, content, links, etc) in separate columns.The app dev. has to create a PHP to generate a xml file.This xml does not work with all the content in one column.Is there a way to tweak k2 to generate the DB according to what iphone apps need?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the K2 item table, there's the content in one column, the image is not stored in the db but automatically retrieved in a specific folder.

What do you mean by links ?

Okay, When I didn't like the formating so I used a table in the content part of the item.
When I use the Image part of the item the image goes on top of the content (text). I want it to the left.

Example:
www.fintan-gastro-consulting.ch/nextup/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&task=category&id=24&Itemid=350&lang=de

Notice the difference between Lazy Falekn and "copy of Lazy Falken" ?

Conversely, how do I get the image placed to the left of the text (as in my example) without using a table??

Okay I changed the css so that the image floats left.

But this apparently does not solve the iphone access / webservice problem.

No.
We finally solved the issues.
One needs the the sourcer plugin:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/edition/custom-code-in-content/5051
and a few tweaks in the webservices.
