Hi Simon I already reported an issue with : Latest items from (one or more) users or categories as home option and the need to select at least 2 categories for this to work.

( I have a folder called new and one called empty. Empty is...well empty. If I only select new (with articles.... nothing shows on the "frontpage", as soon as i add the empty category it works)

 

 

However there is another wee isue here:

How do i get rid of that folder icon (or change it ;)

check the "show image" in category view param

If it was only that easy

I even tried inherit settings from another cattegory (wher the main category does not but the subcategories do show)

It does not seem to work on the Latest items from (one or more) users or selection for the home item in menu
