A funny error when I publish an article / item was created by Nanu Media & Systems
This is the error returned by K2 upon publishing a new item ... Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in /home/bkocoza/public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2item.php on line 75
My progress of events -->
- I updated Joomla to 1.5.22
- Removed a funny named index.php.PLX or PLC or something odd such as that on my list of installation files
- Then I added Google Analytics code to my site ...
Which change could have messed up my website?
Rgds,
Phehello Mofokeng

Go to k2 from components, click on the information tab
you will probably see that mb string encoding is not enabled on your server.
You will probably have to contact your host to enable it

Thanks for your response William. My concern is that K2 has been working all along - for the past 3months of the site's existence. But suddenly it does not. Do you know if K2 creates a separate index.php.PLC or .PLX file outside its folder. This is the only thing that I deleted from my site before the it stopped working.
I can ask the ISP to enable mb string and whatever else they have to, to sort this out, but as I mentioned this is a new problem that relates to something that I did today ... Google Analytics code maybe? Or the new Joomla 1.5.22? What could be wrong?
Once more thanks in advance ...
Rgds,
Phehello
