My tag cloud doesn't seem to want to display characters in utf-8 encoding. It strips all special characters. ö -> o, á->a, etc. Does anyone know why this might be and how to fix it?

I figured this out. My tags imported from Joomla content were not in utf-8, for some reason. So I had to delete all of them and rebuild them from scratch.
