Hello I added and modiffied some fileds availabe in user details after installing this plugin but the fields I added are not displayed in "My Page" (user's page).

I modiffied the following files:

/tmpl/default.php [here I added $filed names and coresponding "if" lines]

/tmpl/css/template.css [here I added coresponding lines for social links images]

and the xml file where I added the fields names

 

...right now I'm thinking to try modify the files before installation, so to add fields in :

userExtendedFields.php

userExtendedFields.xml

template.css

default.php

 

Which way is better: after installation or before?

Sherpa looks like an awesome plugin, but it doesn't solve the issue of adding fields to User Extended Fields, only adds extra fields to K2 Items, not K2 Users/Authors.

I'm also looking to add extra fields to the User Extended fields. Any movement on this? I want to add another Address field (so I can have physical address and Mail/PO Box address).

Hi Simon,

 

Sherpa adds extra fields to K2 categories, items & users (authors).

 

It doesn't use the K2 extra field core system, so it doesn't work with User Extended Fields.

 

You can add as many fields as you want on each object (category, item & user). They can be organized by groups which can be associated to one or more objects.

I apologise! I read through the Sherpa page but obviously missed the fields for K2 User stuff.

I think this extension is worth a purchase! (It's the least I can do, now).
