Could I please ask a n00b question about user access control and K2.  I have been reading the forums and documentation, but I would just like to verify with an experienced user that:

 

K2 has the same frontend access control functionality as J1.6 or a component such as this one:

 

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/frontend-access-control/6874

 

If I used K2, could I still use something like this component for backend access control:

 

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/backend-a-full-access-control/5584

 

If this is correct, does the front-end access control have the same power as the Frontend-User-Access extension, i.e. I can set frontend user access to:

 

* menu items* components* modules* articles (specific articles)* articles by category* articles by section* part of articles and templates
