Hi guys,

Got a k2 site up and running and it's working really well but for the fact that the RSS feeds on two content modules on the homepage aren't working.

They are intended to show RSS feeds for the content of those modules but they are not.

The site in question: RSN Online

Modules I am referring to are 'Latest Rural News' and 'Analysis and Comment'.

The URL's being generated are

www.rsnonline.org.uk/?format=feed&moduleID=17

and

www.rsnonline.org.uk/?format=feed&moduleID=65

both of these show an RSS feed of the homepage content, not the articles appearing in the modules.

Any suggestions?

If anyone is able to point me in the right direction to get this working I would really appreciate it.

Do you have sef turned on?

Urls that my system generate w/o sef are like

index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&format=feed&moduleID=24

and they seem to work ok

Hi,
Yes, I have SEF turned on - it's a live site therefore I need SEF turned on.

I don't think I can turn off SEF just for these two modules, can I?  Any suggestions for a work-around?

Probably not, but you can turn it off sitewide to test it and be sure its  the problem, it may be that the sef may not cooperate with the modules well

Aha, quick fix.

I used the URL you suggested and created a manual SEF entry in sh404 for each of the modules - this seems to have resolved the problem!  Odd thing is neither of the current URL's were showing in sh404 anywhere .. it's a mystery :)
