Can you please explain me how to solve this so simple problem using your ACL system:

 

- I have Students and Teacher Groups

- I have a menu link to a Form for students and a menu link to a Form for teachers

- I want to restrict students to VIEW only their Form, and I want the same for teachers

 

how can I do this?

I mean, of course I know how to create groups, assign users to groups, and groups to categories and all that, but for some reason all the content keep being visible for all the user that dont belong to the groups assigned to those categories.

Hi Rui,What did you create the form with?

K2 User Groups will only restrict access to content created in k2, so unless you used a plugin which you can embed into the text of a k2, then it will still be treated as a Joomla content. 

Your menu links would need to point to the k2 item which contains the form.If you created the form using something like RSForms, then K2 user groups will have no effect on it.

Maybe you have a different meaning for "form", please advise.

Actually, during the tests I am making I am using:

- K2 articles with just some raw text in them, althought I am planning to use Breezingforms in the end when I learned to use K2 ACL.

- Menu items that point to articles.

 

This is so important, all I want is to show some menu items (ponting to K2 articles) to students and and others to teachers.

 

Do you think I should email you a user for you to check it at the live site?
