RSS + SSL was created by Giulia Magnesa
Hello
Do you know if there is a problem to use RSS feed in SSL website?
I have tested it and it seems that it doens't work if I set SSL:
- problem to receive feeds in Outlook 2007
- in RSS page a connection error appears on the top (where should appear the link to subscribe feed in iGoogle)
It doesn't happen when SSL is not activated.

If your problem is specific to Outlook 2007, I found several posts (including one from a MS engineer) that said Outlook 2007 does not support SSL/RSS feeds. On the other hand, I also found the following post that suggests a work-around for Outlook 2007. Hopefully this helps.

Thank you for your answer, but in the workaround the solution is not so clear. Do you know how to turn off sesssion handled as indicated:
. The solution was to either turn off session handling when the request was for an RSS feed or change the headers before sent so that caching wasn't turned off. For this application doing the latter was easier.
Also I think there is a problem with K2+RSS+SSL because when I enable them, the RSS page shows at top a network connectio problem to the link to to subscribe feed in iGoogle

If you click on the RSS icon in either IE or firefox does it display properly or do you get errors? Can you provide a link that I can look at?

In Firefox I don't have any error, but in IE8 I have a connection error on the top (see the attached pdf). I'm sorry I cannot give you access to website because it is dedicated only for our customer and any other registration is rejected

Sorry, but I would need an english error message to be of any help. I would presume that k2 just uses the Joomla RSS code. Try a Joomla article and see if you have the same problem. If you do I would suggest you post your issue on the Joomla forums and you should have better luck with an answer.

ok I will test with a Joomla article.
Sorry I missed to translate the error message, it is a simple network connection problem. If I disable SSL it appears iGoogle substription link for RSS.Terry A Britton said:
