Hi,

 

I was wondering if anyone knows how i can change the sub category layout to include the latest 5 articles from that category. E.g. I have a main category with 3 sub categories and immediate under the category image i would like to display the latest 5 articles.

In attachment the 'category.php' file to place in your K2 template overriding folder. If you haven't worked yet with K2 templating, just go here.

 

This overriding retrieves the last 5 items from each subcategory and display their title as a link to item page.

Please could you advise how to add bullets points to the 5 item links or if wanted to do some CSS styling which file would edit i.e. k2.css or template_css.css?

You can do that in the k2.css but the best way would be to intall CSS4K2 plugin and create a specific css file for your K2 custom template.

Paul, if the attachment above works for you can you not just hide the title and show the image in the item view in category listing settings?

The latest items within the category is so close to what we need for a site, apart from we need the download attachment link to also be included? is there anyway of doing this?
