i have build a directory listing, and have been using the comments for people to make reviews about the listing items. now i have made a module to display the latest reviews on the front page and i was hoping i could change the avatar picture to the item image. but i have no idea how to do this.

i have tried to modify the comments.php using  src="<?php echo $item->image; ?>" but this does not work.

i would really appreciate any ideas on this subject.
