where are the attachments stored? was created by left19
we are having some permission problems with the server and I am trying to figure out where a pdf attachment to an item is stored. I want to overwrite the ones that are failing to upload.
How do I set permissions and on what directory for the attachments.
Does anyone know this?
I would really appreciate any replies.
thanks

In the vein of any replies:
Today I got my pdf files working for the first time, this is what I did:
I FTP my PDF files to public_html/PDF
I then went to my main menu branch(s) and set them to External Link
The link field I used was http://mydomain/PDF/file.pdf
I also set new window w/browse for each link
In my front end, each PDF file opened in a new tab
Color me pleased
Hope this helps.

I would have used this but the beauty of the way that K2 is handling is that it protects them from showing up on the site without going through the article in k2. Therefore, we are able to lock them up. I'm afraid using public_html/PDF will thwart this.
Still wish I knew where they are hiding when we just upload them normally via backend.
