Hi Guys n' Gals,

 

I have a Joomla! site v1.5.21 with K2 v.2.4. I want users in the publisher group of

K2 to add items onto the blog page from the front page. I've done all the settings

as per this post: joomla-and-more.com/2011/01/07/publish-k2-items-from-the-front-page/

 

I see the "Add item link" in the user login area after logging in. I am able to click

on the add item button and it allows me to add a blog post. When I click on publish

the page just redirects me to the home page and nothing is saved. I check in the backend

no blog post is saved nor is there any sign of it. So I'm guessing it did not even save.

How can I debug this problem? What to do now?

 

Shall I create a test account for you on the site to test?

 

I tried adding the joomla user (who is in the registered category) into the "site owner" category

for k2 user groups and I still had the same problem. I then tried to change the joomla user

group from registered to Publisher and I encountered the same problem.

 

Desperately seeking assistance...

 

Hi Satori,

Do you use FireBug?

If so I would check to see if you are getting any errors.

If you check the K2 items in the backend,are the new items appearing?

 

This is a working function, I use it on all sites.

I use FireBug and I do not see any errors.

There are no K2 items appearing in the backend when a user from the front end wants to publish an item.

Whether you choose the publish or unpublish state, the item/blog post is not saved.
