Just installed K2 to use as a database of high school football prospects.

 

I created two categories, Class of 2012 and Class of 2013.

 

I added the extra fields and associated them to a group to use for each individual item (prospect).

 

I created a sample item (prospect) in the class of 2012.

 

I set up a menu item for Prospect Database and pointed it to K2>>Item Listings>>Categories.

 

When I click the menu tab PROSPECT DATABASE it takes me to a white page with just one zero on it.

When I use the search box on my site to look up the item I created (Trae Williams), I get a link with the name Trae Williams but when I click on that I also get the white page with the zero.

 

Any ideas?

Are you sure that it installed correctly? Could you reinstall K2?

I had previously installed K2 and had the same issues, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. When I reinstalled previously all of my data was still there.

 

So I uninstalled again, completely made sure it was gone and reinstalled. This time, no data remained.

 

Everything appears to be working fine, so I'm guessing the install went correctly.

 

I just changed the K2 item where I have the menu pointing to. Now I'm pointing it at K2>>Latest Items from users or categories and the page opens, but there's nothing there except the Page Title. Check it out using the link above.

Do you use K2 template overrides?

Not that I know of.

So, on the backend you have absolutely no problem adding items, creating categories, creating menu items, etc. All problems are located in the frontend while going to a specific K2 page. Right?

 

Is it possible to provide me access to the backend to take a look? PM me.

The backend doesn't seem to have any problem whatsoever. Which is strange.

Could you please make a cross check between the files and folders on your server mostly for the frontend component and on the zip file of K2 you have downloaded before installing?

I want to make sure that everything is installed properly.

 

Also try to disable plugins you do not use and to those you do use try to disable them one by one to see if any of this creates some kind of conflict.

 

 

OK...I'll try this over the weekend...and let you know. I've got to get to some other projects.

Thanks to Yiota's suggestion my problem has been solved.

 

Yiota suggested that I check my plugins to find out if one might be interfering with the normal workings of K2.

I disabled all plugins and the page worked properly. I then re-installed plugins until I found the culprit. It was:

 

Content-Social Share & Vote button.
