When creating an item, K2 allways uses the item title to create the SEF url - never the carefully chosen SEF alias.

 

When I first use the SEF alias as a title, and then safe the piece, I can then reopen the article (item), change its title back again, and still will have my SEF url.

 

Is this a bug or have I missed an option?

 

(I'm using the latest sh404sef also...)

well, it's fixed - but I'm running a bilingual site, and now the German aliases are used for the English translations. Furthermore, it first wrecked my template - the item was published with the 3rd level menu in the footer :o, and now, I can't translate (Joom!Fish) another extra field if it is a link.

 

I will probably now try a work around, as the original version used the categories and sub categories properly - I will place my SEF necessities in the category name :)
