I have set up my site with k2, categories and all, and SEF to on.

 

Now my urls look like this:

 

www.amritnam.nl/joomla-overview/dates

 

But I cannot figure out why "joomla-overview" is in there. I would like to change it to something more meaningful or get rid of it altogether.

 

I cannot find 'joomla-overview' in my categories or sections.

Check your menu aliases.

Not the dates menu link but its parent. Check the parent menu link alias.

Hey that works! That was indeed the culprit.

Would never have figured that out on my own.
