Hi,

 

I'd like to limit the number of words displayed of the Description of Subcategories. Just to be clear: this is the view when drilling down from a Category to its children Categories. Presently I can only see ALL of the description or NO description.

 

The "Introtext Limit" only applies to Items so that does not work for what I want. I found a 'hack' here (includes editing category.xml and category.php) and although there are a few errors:


Line numbers are incorrect, might have been for a different version K2, I am using 2.4.1
Error in the code: the "end if" is missing in the php code provided

I do get a box in the Category parameters to enter a word limit but now I get NO description at all.

 

Any clue what I'm doing wrong or better yet an alternative way to do this?
