Item Lightbox Dead was created by Dominic Devine
The lightbox WYSIWYG editor was working fine on my site till yesterday.
Now clicking on the Add Item link (either in the login module or within a category) directs the user to a new page with the editor.
Only thing I can think of is it worked fine, then I installed JForms. JForms using drag and drop which wasn't working, so I found a fix and installed it (I think it was a mootools fix but I don't know what mootools is so cab't be sure).
An hour or so later I noticed the item lightbox had stopped working.
It could be connected. maybe not.
How can I find out and how can I fix it?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks for your help.

It sounds like a javascript conflict or a mootools library incompatibility between the JForms and the lightbox. Did you try to uninstall or disable the JForms to see if the lightbox works this way?

Hi Yiota
Thanks for your reply.
I tried disabling JForms but it made no difference.
Are there any frequent causes that you know of that I could look at?
Thanks, Dom

I found the answer. It *was* the JForms fix.
So that JForms drag and drop would work I had installed something called System - Mootools Upgrade. This killed the lightbox.
Since I only need MooTools Upgrade to make drag and drop work in JForms when *creating* forms, I have disabled it. I'll have to enable it if I want to create more forms, but for now it is off and the K2 item light-box is now working fine.
