Hi there..

With the default joomla setup, joomla allows a super admin to set user privilages..

I'm wanting to define a Publisher user that can submit. edit, approve content from the frontent.

BUT .. using K2 .

It works fine with the default joomla sections and categories but thats not what i want :(

Is it possible to use K2 to submit new Items and Assign it to a category from the front end ?

Trying to prevent creating a manager user to do this as that gives the user to much  freedom to break the site or ruin the content.

Any suggestions ? would appreciate any help to add closer to this goal.. :) ?

Thanks..

This is possible in K2 by setting up the user groups and the users in the back-end. You can specify which categories in K2 each user group can add content to. You'll have to manually edit each user and add them to each group, and if you'd like, there is a plugin that automatically does this when someone registers on the site. Hope that helps.
